Let’s see what happens next time they meet the Lakers. One thing is for sure, they better kill it from 3 cause it won’t be this easy in the paint.

In 20 years, people will remember this Clippers team that took down the mighty Lakers and closed the book for good on LeBron’s career. Become like the ’86 Miracle Mets. It’s an underdog story that will echo in eternity…

“The beauty in this team is we don’t care who gets the shots…Nobody cares who’s getting the shots down the stretch, you just got a group of guys that want to win.” – Paul George

^ I wish Kobe Bryant got that memo back in 2004. Basketball is about *we* *over* *me.*

Just want to give a big shoutout to *Sam* *Cassell.* He was a 3-time champion as a player. Such a great guy. Loved him when he was a Clipper player. He can be the real Fun Guy on the team. I see Sam joking around with everybody.

I saw him joke with Ty and Lou during timeouts. Ty Lou, geddit? Ty is a 2-time champion as a player and 1-time as coach. Sam I Am, the big Ballz dancer himself, can be such a valuable asset on the bench. He makes an entire team culture smile.

I hope Sam doesn’t leave yet to be a head coach. But if he does, he will be amazing at it. Or at least hope Sam can be the successor if Doc retires. Lakers have more players with championship pedigree but Clippers have more coaches with that (Doc, Sam, Ty). Lionel Hollins was an NBA champion as a player but not as a coach.

If you ever watch a Clippers game in person, just watch what Sam Cassell does. I bet you’ll see him smiling or making someone laugh. E.T. himself is the original Fun Guy.

I heard he did that big balls thing during a game and fucked his leg or knee up or something lol he actually got injured doing it & his play wound up suffering because of it

Sam Cassell obviously knows he’s not a handsome dude. He’s not an idiot. But he has a personality that can light up a room. And he was clutch as a player. Even Paul Pierce said the Big 3 wasn’t Paul, KG, and Ray.

Ray sometimes did his own thing. It was usually Sam hanging out with Paul and KG. For dinners, Sam was always there. Sam gets along well with everybody no matter what he looks like. 👾🐌

It’s just a thumbnail but how is Lonzo always managed to be in it? Anyone want to bring up Lonzo’s efficiency in this game? -27, worst in the team.

Pierce still engages in group texts with former Celtics teammates (and coach) Doc Rivers, Garnett, Kendrick Perkins and Big Baby Davis, but hasn’t talked to Ray Allen since he bolted from Boston to Miami in the summer of 2012.

Though much has been made of it, Pierce said, people don’t understand he wasn’t all that close to Allen to begin with.

“It was a weird relationship,” Pierce conceded. “We were all good friends on the court, but Ray always did his own thing. That’s just the way Ray was. Even when we were playing together, we’d be having a team dinner and Ray wouldn’t show up. We’d go to his charity events but Ray wouldn’t show up to somebody else’s.

“I called him on it. I said, ‘Man, Ray, we support all your stuff but when we ask you, you don’t come to ours.’ I remember when Rondo re-signed with Boston, we had a little dinner at a restaurant and Ray didn’t show up.

“I know Ray probably didn’t like Rondo that much, but it wasn’t a fact of not liking somebody. You don’t have to like everybody you play with — it’s a matter of showing support.

“Rondo probably didn’t like Ray either, but he came to Ray’s functions to show, ‘Hey, we’re together in this.’

“It’s not a bad thing with Ray. We had a great relationship on the court. But even the year we won it, after a game we’d say, ‘Let’s go have something to eat and have a night with the older guys.’ We’d get there and it would be me, Kevin and Sam (Cassell), but no Ray. In a lot of ways, me, Sam and Kevin were our Big Three.

“It just got to the point where it was, ‘That’s Ray.’ No hard feelings. Everyone made such a big deal of us not talking after we left, but there really wasn’t much there.”

    Everybody loves Sam.

CBS who kept underrating my Clippers last year put my team back at #3 this week. I’m cool with the Lakers being #1 and Bucks #2. My team have an aura of confidence that surrounds them.

When the money is on line and you need a bucket in the waning seconds, do not count out a team with Kawhi, Paul, or Lou. Montrezl is also now able to score points off the dribble.

Teams have to deal with 4 guys and that interchangeable 5th member could be so wide-open for a three. And if you stay on your man, one of the 4 can score on you 1-on-1.

Pick your poison. Get smoked by one of the players you’re trying to guard or leave one guy open and let him swish wide-open dagger threes.

    **

I could care less if we’re #3. We’ll be #1 in the world when we’re raising the Larry O’Brien trophy 🏆 next June.

Lonzo Ball fans should be called Lonzo life coaches, cause all their comments in every Pelicans highlight videos are the same:
    1. He needs more minutes
    2. He just needs to be a little more aggressive
    3. He just needs to work on his shot.
    4. He’ll be better once Zion returns
    5. He needs to drive in more.
    6. He needs to eat more bran.
    7. He needs to contribute more to his 401k.
    8. He needs to get a Costco card.
    9. He needs to make some new friends.
    10. He needs to watch less Fox news.
