The Philadelphia 76ers held on to defeat the Washington Wizards 113-107 behind Joel Embiid’s team-high 29 PTS (14 REB), and Ben Simmons’ 16 PTS, 9 REB and 7 AST. Six 76ers players scored in double-digits, including Shake Milton (19 PTS) and Seth Curry (13 PTS) in his Philadelphia debut. Russell Westbrook stuffed the stat book in his Washington debut, recording his 147th career triple-double with 21 PTS, 11 REB and 15 AST, and Bradley Beal led Washington in scoring with 31 PTS and 4 STL. Deni Avdija tallied 7 PTS and 4 REB in his rookie debut for the Wizards.

    Beal played fantastic tonight. I was blown away with how well he played. If it weren’t for Embiid taking over the 4th we (Sixers) would’ve lost by like 15.

    Also Doc already looks like a much better coach than Brett brown…
