As A black Conservative man I believe our national anthem should be honored and respected. These crazy liberals who hate this country want to bring it down no knelling during the anthem that is very disrespectful this whole BLM movement is A joke they are using you for there own well being they just want your money they haven’t done anything for the black community but bring it down but still get nominated for the noble peace prize really they are peacefully tell that to the family businesses and small businesses BLM and antifa has ruined. They should get rid of anthems. Half of people don’t arrive or stand up. Like I get it at important events. Daily sports are not special. And it adds too much weight to the game.

Everyone here made the correct statements due to the times. I also liked the fact that Cari wanted to find clarity in what Victor was eluding to as she wanted to ensure that everyone understands what is coming out of his mouth. These are the times where everyone needs to cognizant about society and what we say as well as what we do.

With all the respect but as a european looking in it never made sense having (any) anthem played before anything but the International games where all the players can in fact be proud of hearing it because they’re representing the country itself. In games where sometimes most of a teams players aren’t even american it just seems weird.
Save it for important moments like the olympic games and finals of competitions of american sports leagues.
In my country everyone knows the lyrics of the anthem despite only hearing it like 10 times a year at max, it just makes it more meaningful.

I like Kyle’s response here. Humble, not egoistical. He doesn’t consider his perception as an absolute. Not many people approach this conversation with sincerity and purity of heart. For many, offense, victimization and/or entitlement drives their argument. Got to be opened-minded and meek when having these discussions.
