I get what Tmac is saying but LeBron had a trash team and made it to the finals.

Tmac is better than Dame tho

T Mac certainly should have won MVP. If Kobe was not around!

That year tmac was basically prime kd. And I get his point that the magic would have been horrible without him, while the spurs might have been a 8th seed?
Tmac would have been great in todays nba

t mac had the best stats in that year in the nba, but the magic were a sub par team – so by how the mvp is normally chosen, that would have been unlikely

Going by T-mac’s argument, particularly in 03, if Timmy was taken out of that team they’re not going to make it to the playoffs. The was composed of an aging Robinson (final year), 2nd year Tony Parker, rookie Ginobili. Parker, who was their 2nd leading scorer averaged only 15.5 ppg, followed by Stephen Jackson 11.8 and Malik Rose with 10.8 per game. Timmy was averaging 23.3 points, 12.9 rebounds and 2.9 blocks. Robinson was helping but only 8 points, 7 rebounds and a block per game.

The #9 seed Suns is an above 500 team. If Timmy was taken out, they won’t make it.

I agree with T Mac that he was the most valuable player to his team. But I also think TD was the best player that year. There should be two awards: an MVP and the best player award.

Shaq with all the great talent he had forgets to give credit to Hakeem The Dream for schooling Shaq every time they went head to head.

Bill Walton > TMac. Unfortunately, his body betrayed him, going all the way back to high school. Despite that, he is one of the greatest college players of all time. In the NBA, at his peak, he averaged 18.6/14.4/3.6 with 52% shooting and was the best player on a championship team. just ask Dr. J. Portland’s offense ran through him because he was such an exceptional passer and was also all NBA on defense. His career stats are not indicative of how good he was because of the injuries. Tmac has no ring and was essentially considered one of the greatest wastes of talent in NBA history. Empty calories that never equated to anything of note, plus he had his fair share of injuries as well. TMac is a classic case of people remembering a player in higher regard now than when they played.

    Bill’s major accomplishments:

    Career highlights and awards
    2× NBA champion (1977, 1986)
    NBA Finals MVP (1977)
    NBA Most Valuable Player (1978)
    2× NBA All-Star (1977, 1978)
    All-NBA First Team (1978)
    All-NBA Second Team (1977)
    2× NBA All-Defensive First Team (1977, 1978)
NBA Sixth Man of the Year (1986)
    NBA rebounding leader (1977)
    NBA blocks leader (1977)
No. 32 retired by Portland Trail Blazers
    NBA 50th Anniversary Team
    NBA 75th Anniversary Team
    2× NCAA champion (1972, 1973)
2× NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player (1972, 1973)
3× National college player of the year (1972–1974)
    3× Consensus first-team All-American (1972–1974)
No. 32 retired by UCLA Bruins

I don’t care what other people think about it, but I was there, watching it-T-mac was thee best player in the league (alongside Kobe that is) for 2,3 years. Most versatile and complete of them all.
Guy could score from anywhere, jump, defend, he could literally do it all.
Having AD over him in top 75 is blasphemy.
Lillard is a great player but he is NOT T-mac. Period.

Big applause to T-Mac getting his tatts removed, good to see some people can grow up. Unlike a lot of other followers associated with the NBA and general society these days.

Much respect to Tracy McGrady, but Tim Duncan deserved that MVP award in 2003. Him saying Zion Williamson needs to get his body done was hilarious.

T-Mac out of his mind. Duncan was best player in NBA 2003-2007 and 03 was his best year! Go peep his playoffs and finals that year!
