Such a shame. Hopefully it puts a chip on his shoulder that voters put lower players above him minus Banchero

What did Jaden Ivey do wrong I felt like he had a solid year and picked it up towards the end of the season

      May 8, 2023 at 8:23 pm

Hate on Detroit is real in media.

    • Brian K

      May 8, 2023 at 8:27 pm

He was rated as one of the worst players in the NBA(who gets regular minutes) according to most advanced stats. Basically he wasn’t having a winning impact the majority of the season due to horrible defense and tons of turnovers and inefficient scoring. He no doubt will be better next year tho this happens to a lot of rookie guards

    • Aboleo80

      May 8, 2023 at 8:35 pm

@Brian K he played on the worst team with 21 different starting lineups. Detroit rookies get judged on success of the team overall when ROTY and rookie first team were always individual honor until this and last year.

Too many people sleep on Keegan Murray. Breaking the three-point rookie record is no easy feat and he’ll be a star one day

    • David Rivelino

      May 8, 2023 at 7:29 pm

He’s good, dropping 20+ in playoff against GS with Klay defending him

    • Jonah Cannon

      May 8, 2023 at 7:56 pm

@David Rivelino I was about to say the same thing, he was clutch against GS

    • David Rivelino

      May 8, 2023 at 10:51 pm

@Jonah Cannon even though he had a rough few games before he eventually found his shot

Banchero 100% voting. It isn’t even close!

    • Erroneous Monk

      May 8, 2023 at 7:24 pm

Jalen Williams had 99 votes and the 1 who didn’t vote for him voted for his teammate with the same name. Sounds like he matched Banchero on the votes.

  13. Erroneous Monk

    May 8, 2023 at 7:23 pm

Banchero was the only player who got all 100 first team votes. Jalen Williams got 99 first team votes. His teammate Jaylin Williams got one first team vote. You have to be a serious idiot as a voter to make that mistake. I’d like to see the NBA come out and clarify this because it’s kind of a big deal.

I liked this class a lot more than I thought I would, but Banchero is different bro 🥶

    May 8, 2023 at 7:50 pm

Jalen, Jalen, Jaden, and Jabari. 80 IQ blacks loves ’em some”Ja”s at the beginning of their idiotic names. And don’t forget some “quans” and “mars”. And, oh yeah, apostrophes. Baby mama’s just can’t get enough of those! Even better if you can combine all four – “Ja’Marquan” or some such moronic moniker.

Is it only me that saw glimpses of young Bron in Paolo?? Congrats to the All Rookie First Team winners: Paolo, Walker, JDub, Keegan, and Ben.

    Jalen Williams is just different.

  20. Cole Martin

I don’t see enough love for Jalen Williams in these comments so I’ll go ahead and add my comment that he was the steal of the draft. Best result of the draft. And the future all-star along with Shai and Chet.

Is shaedon a legit upside dude? Been buying the hype a bit with his rookie cards, haven’t been watching much blazers tho.
