Love what I seen from murphy but let’s not get crazy. Hayes looked like a hofer in his summer league and has taken a while to get acclimated. But there is alot to be happy about. Hes going to spread the floor alot for zion and ingram if he can shoot like this during the season

Patrick Williams is such a scrub.

A scrub with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the 1/2 half?

Would love to see graham start at the 1 Murphy start at the 2 keep Ingram at the 3 zion at the 4 val at the 5. I know that’s not the best defensive lineup but it can be if they just play good TEAM defense and run teams out the gym

Zion and BI have to rebound for the fast break. It a shame if they decide to run this year as Zo was a running pg but they slowed it down last year.

@Ball Guy I agree they both need to rebound better but val is a really good rebounder . I mean bi averaged what 5 rebounds which is fine for a scorer Zion should be more around 9 or 10 imo. I think they will regret letting zo go but also think they wanted more of a scorer from the 1 to take pressure off zion and bi

Don’t judge Pat Williams by his poor shooting % in the 2nd half. He played almost the entire game as most of the other players on the Bulls were not that good. He tired in the 2nd half as the first 1/2 he had 14 points and 12 rebounds and it was effortless, not even from a pass. He was creating his own offense. He rebounds well and can dribble off the rebound. I can envision seeing him, Zach, and Zo on the fast break.

So far I like Willie Green as the coach. He will do wonders for this young team. He is an X’s and O’s type of coach. I think they will have some issues when facing NBA competition in defending at the guard position. And that will be his biggest challenge. I don’t see who is a guard who can defend a Dame, Trae, Luka, Curry, CP, and Lavine, Lebron, PG. I just don’t see it. When you are expending energy defending, it takes away from your offense as you tire chasing those players around. That’s why defense is a key. The offense will not be the Pels problem but defense.

The Bulls. How far they go will be dependent on 19 year old Patrick Williams’ development this year. He reminds me of how Giannis came into the league. Giannis only averaged 6 points year 1, 11 points year 2, and 16 points year 3. Patrick has bulked up and if you go watch him lift 465 pounds with ease, you will see where he is headed. If the Bulls make the playoffs this year, the key will not be Zach, Vooch, or Lavine. It will be how well Zo connects with Williams. He will have to be the power of the team and get those easy dunks on the fast break or under the basket. He should have plenty of room with Vooch a big who can shoot 3’s, Droz, and Zach. Zach commands double teams and finding that open man will be the key and it will Williams. It will be all kinds of open basket for him.

Bulls played like their main team played for the last few seasons, good at start, but very awful at end

      August 9, 2021 at 9:47 pm

The Bulls team was mostly unknowns except Pat Williams who played almost the entire game to keep it close.

@Ball Guy even most of them haven’t played with the main team, but they still played on the similar system, since Bulls summer coach is assisten coach of the main team.

@JA Adji They are still unknowns. The Pels had a few 2nd years. Didi, Kira, Naji
