Damn wish the warriors drafted him instead of Moses moody

      August 9, 2021 at 6:27 pm

Theres a reason why moody was a top 10 prospect on most draft boards… he was the #1 option on a team he took to the elite 8. No need to overreact to 1 game by a player taken later.

      August 9, 2021 at 6:31 pm

I don’t entirely agree but the notion that moody was a lock in his late lottery range and Murphy was a lock in the late teens early 20’s range, despite Murphy clearly having a higher defensive upside and better catch and shoot 3p shot right now is a bit puzzling. I know moody can do more and has potential but damn tell me trey Murphy doesn’t look like mikail bridges out there

I stg the media hates us. All that hate towards our off-season moves, yet our rookie has the highest scoring debut and you barely hear about itπŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ

As a TM3 fan since HS, you will get used to him being slept on but don’t worry, you will also get used to him surpassing TF out of expectations. So excited for the future.

I really don’t understand how guys like kispert, Duarte and trey Murphy, who are all different but each of them have very defined nba skill sets that usually get paid legit money like 3- 4 year deals in the 60-90 m range, yet teams will be like β€œupside” and not take them for projects time and time again. I’m sorry but all 3 might be better than guys like bouknight and others. And I don’t mean talent wise at all but in terms of value to the league like look at what guys like joe Harris and Duncan Robinson have made (kispert, Duarte) and think how much can Johnson and mikail bridges (Murphy) would make on the open market. Taking these nba ready dudes is a good decision more times than not

I get what you are saying and as a Pelicans fan, who had been saying I hope we get Murphy since 2 months before the draft, Im glad he’s on our team but I get why NBA teams take the chances they do. You brought up the value of guys like Harris and Robinson but compare that to the value and ability to acquire of the real stars in this league. If you don’t have a superstar in place then a bunch of high quality roleplayers won’t do much for you, so why not shoot for the stars and hope you get lucky and find a Giannis or Kawhi or Paul George.

I feel like no matter what Pelicans do, Zion is gonna team up with RJ in NY

    • DeeWayne Wade

      August 9, 2021 at 10:47 pm

that’ll be his lost RJ not like that

    • Trey Bens

      August 9, 2021 at 10:49 pm

@DeeWayne Wade not right now but give it time

    • DeeWayne Wade

      August 9, 2021 at 11:20 pm

@Trey Bens So Zion would go to a worse situation just because they’re besties

    • Trey Bens

      August 9, 2021 at 11:25 pm

@DeeWayne Wade sounds like it’s in Zion personality to do that

And idk if you noticed but the Knicks are heading to a better future than the Pelicans

I’m very impressed he knows his role and cherishes it. He will eventually become a total all around player but he knows he was brought in to shoot mainly. Pelicans found themselves a gem.

Solid game. We deffs can do with his perimeter shooting and backing up Zion. Also Kira’s speed works real well in transition for his 3pt shooting. This will be great off the bench
