I can’t believe it but just now on ESPN they actually said Embiid widened his lead in the MVP race. Can anyone explain how that’s even possible ? One guy has a triple double and leads his team to victory and the other guy doesn’t play.

Anything but the third consecutive MVP for Nikola Jokić will be a theft of unprecedented proportions and a huge damage and shame for the NBA! I’ve been following the NBA since I was 9 years old, when I started to train basketball, the time of the dominance of Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Jason Kidd, Siv Nash, Shak Attack and Koby Bryant, whom I somehow respected the most of all, I loved the Bulls then, then , but then the Kobe era started, so I also remember Lebron when he appeared, but also Reji Miller and the then Indiana.. today I am 42 years old, my basketball career ended due to a shoulder injury just when it started to go on an upward trajectory, but I watch the NBA and I don’t miss the past 5-6 seasons, but I know absolutely everything about the NBA league, I know almost every team, every player, I know the skeletons of the teams, entire franchises because I follow them, and Nikola with the season where he leads Denver in the WEST, don’t forget where he is stronger koark, in the west definitely, look at the teams, we’ll see how they will do in the play offs, it’s best if Denver gets the toughest opponent right away, first round, GSW, ok, it can and should, let’s see who will be the champion this year, if not to beat GSW, he yes, they don’t need to go further, BUT as far as the REGULAR part of the season is concerned, Nikola Jokić is the most dangerous player in the league, without a real candidate behind him, because he plays smart and uses his body and mind smartly, there is one MVP for now, and that is Nikola Jokic!

Embiid took shots at Jokić yesterday, and tonight he’s skipping their most anticipated matchup ever.
He hasn’t played Jokic in Denver in 4 years but is always available to play him in Philly.
Tonight’s tactical DNP was to avoid blowing the MVP chances, but Embiid’s odds just got worse on every sportsbook 😬 This should make Joker the clear favorite then. Played more games, didn’t duck him when it was time to go to Philly, and don’t get me started on the stats. Gotta beat the best to be the best on their home floor.
This also means that the max number of games Embiid will play this year is 68, which would be the fewest games played for an MVP in a full season since 1980.
