not having dejounte was a real factor in this game. i thought pop did a great job coaching the team since dejounte went down early in the 1st. instead of pop moving patty to starting lineup….i think he should’ve moved lonnie to the PG and moved devin into the SG spot. devin has been playing really well so far. i felt like he could’ve brought that same production to the starting lineup..and possibly more. also, with a starting lineup of lonnie, devin, keldon, demar and lemarcus—-we wouldn’t regress much on the defensive end. if dejounte can’t go next game, i think that devin or tre should move into the starting lineup. either guy gives us a good chance of staying competitive on the defensive end. then the second unit would be tre (if you go with devin in the starting lineup), mills, rudy, trey lyles, and poetl. patty gives us good energy and a bit of a scoring punch off the bench, but the defense is not as good when he’s on the floor. patty was in late in the game when i feel like we should’ve stayed with devin or even tre for longer stretches. dallas beat us from the perimeter—they did very little on the inside. i think devin and/or tre jones could’ve had a bigger impact taking away some of those points. and again—we’re lacking speed in the front court and it’s killing us. trey lyles is not the fastest, but he is very efficient and has a high bb IQ for a player that hasn’t played a whole lot in his career. i just think he’s being under used. i’m not sure if it was character issues or what—-but that was the case when he was in denver and utah.

I want to hear Skip Bayless today say again how Luka cant shoot. The Mav.s are down 4 starters and Luka carried them easily past Skips beloved Spurs. Hopefully Shannon brings it up b/c Skip probably wont.

Lukas DNA will not sustain a long career like Kobe or LeBron , ect. Remember Mr. Lin, His DNA had the same issue. Fast at the start and then faded away. Just saying.
