I didn’t saw the travel even the Knicks didn’t called a travel what a team normally does when it’s obvious.

Says the guy who called the league to demand an explanation for why Westbrook wasn’t suspended. So apparently Stephen A is entitled to demand explanations personally from the league as it pertains to officiating, but generating reports for the public that address mistakes and apply accountability to the officials (can only imagine a fantasy land where the MLB did the same) is a waste of time. I’ve generally always enjoyed Stephen A and appreciated his performance art, but recently he’s taken a very wrong turn.

I just like how they’re talking about this now. But it doesn’t really matter anymore because that game’s over. If refs miss it then they miss it like they always do. So just move on to the next one.

@3:27 Tim Legler: “[The two-minute report] points out things that no one even noticed in the first place.” It’s worth pointing out that even before Tyrese Maxey shuffled his pivot foot, he took THREE steps. In basketball (although not consistently enough in the NBA) that’s what you call a TRAVEL. So in actual fact the two-minute report is wrong as to what the violation was and when it occurred. I guess it’s too much to ask of so-called “expert basketball/NBA analysts” such as Stephen A Smith or former “player” Tim Legler (AKA NBA journeyman who won the three-point champion in 1996 when the line was two feet closer to the basket…) to pick up on that and point it out. ESPN, aside from some podcasts, your NBA coverage really is going from bad to worse.

they need to do a 48 min report then, cause if they calling that a travel, then the whole league needs like 50+ travel calls per game

This has got to change in the NBA. The officiating has to be accountable for their mistake. All we get is a 2 minute report that means officiating messed up on the call but in Reality nothing matters because the game is over.

If that’s the case they should call ALL TRAVELING from start to finish. Basketball fouls and violations should be called.
