Wemby’s defensive plays recently is reminding me of Prime KG (if he was 7’5). Really just goes to show how good Wemby is becoming and how great KG really was

My all-time favorite player. Damn near played all 5 positions for the Wolves

In those early 2000s seasons, when he got the MVP, he was leading the T-wolves in basically every stat line: points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals, minutes.
If I remember correctly he lost the lead in assist when Sam Cassell got there.

On the offensive side he was too big for the guards and forwards, and too fast for the bigs to guard. On the defensive side he was able to shut down all 5 positions.
We forgot how much of an evolution/revolution KG was for basketball.

If he was born 15 years later he would have been top 10-15 all time. He has the perfect game for today’s nba and would have just pushed those long two’s into 3’s. The ultimate dog. Happy b-day KG.
