Not taking away from this achievement, cause it’s a fact… but assists are a little overrated in that you don’t always ‘make a play’ or ‘give your teammate an open look’ so much as the teammate you passed it to happen to make a difficult contested shot, yet you get rewarded for it. I think assists need to have more difficult criteria for them to hold true value

For most players, sure. But as shown in this video, Giannis is so good to the point where teams are forced to double/triple team him, allowing for him to make these large passes.
