I don’t know much about him but he was the top guard for uconn right? Can somebody tell me why he wasn’t drafted as a high pick?

Started off at ECU and was a star. Had some early turnover issues first year at UCONN. Was always beat up in the Big East. Then became a constant triple double threat and a bank vault w the ball. Streaky good scorer, great passer, finisher. Large PG. Mostly, the answer is the league likes younger, shinier players. But his skill set should be plug and play in any NBA offense. Can shoot, stretch the floor, and pick and roll.

Sadly the league isn’t about the best talent, it’s about the best storylines.

Although I don’t know much about him, I believe he was UConn’s best guard. Could someone perhaps explain why he wasn’t selected highly in the draft?
