Dunking means nothing. U have to win and make it to the playoff.Spurs? I doubt it. Pop must push the management to acquire superstars or his great coaching talent will go down the drain.

    • RockinNova

      January 4, 2021 at 6:23 pm

Good luck getting superstars to go play in SA, it’s not an attractive destination. I think what they are doing is fine, drafting good players and further developing their young core. I could see SA back in it around 2 years from now.

    • Robert Bolivarr

      January 4, 2021 at 8:08 pm

@RockinNova I like your assessment but in today’s NBA having no Superstars won’t take your team anywhere.

    • RockinNova

      January 4, 2021 at 8:23 pm

@Robert Bolivarr Maybe, but if the Spurs can have 4~5 all-star level players (be from their young core) that play hard and actually play defense, then I see no reason why they can’t be contender ala 2004 Pistons (I know during that era it was a different kind of game, but the concept should still apply). Realistically, the only way I can see the Spurs landing a superstar, is through the draft, and thats going to take alot of losses and pure luck to land one.

@RockinNova 04 Pistons was a hell of a team back then. Their D was superb. Glad Spurs beat them in the neck to neck games. in the Finals.
