The way Nets players responded to Kyrie Irving criticism speaks volumes – Rachel Nichols | The Jump

Published

on

Rachel Nichols, Kevin Arnovitz and Chiney Ogwumike head to “Crunch Time,” discussing Detroit Pistons big man Andre Drummond notching another 20-20 game, Zach Collins being out for the Portland Trail Blazers and whether Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum can weather the storm, and the Luka Doncic vs. LeBron James triple-double battle between the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers. They then (2:31) talk about the reports on Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving’s leadership skills.

They won because of cheating refs. IF you pause the game on that last play of reg, you can see that the refs saw the hold dwight did to seth! And they purposely did not call the blatant foul! Mavs were robbed!

kyrie thinking he a generational player??? until he lifts a team on his own past the playoffs you are just a good player. and talks too much

That was a great thing as a leader to say. He pretty clearly wants to lead by example vs. being really vocal, and he’s acknowledging that other players have the ability to be leaders. Much like Steph and Draymond are both leaders, despite having contrasting styles

All this “leader” bullshit is a concoction of the media. When Kyrie left Cavs the MEDIA created the narrative that Kyrie want to be the MAN and “lead” a team. So, every time they put a camera in his face they prodded him about being a leader. …what was he supposed to say. “No, I dont want to be a leader”.

Majority of the haters of kyrie are the lebron jinx fans coz until now they didnt accept the fact that the chip of cleveland cavaliers wayback 2016 is coz of that guy.πŸ’ͺπŸ‘Š thats why they want to put down the greatness of kyrie Irving.

It blows me that the media always helps Lakers and lebron. I’m a big bron fan but constantly talking about igoudala going to the lakers is such a subliminal tactic

Kyrie is a good player and seems like a great guy, but he doesn’t make others better and he’s not a leader. He showed that in Cleveland before lebron got there, and again in Boston when everyone else got worse. Unless he changes the way he treats his teammates and how he talks to the media, it will be no different for the nets. Everyone is alright with the criticism that lebron gets but don’t like it when kyrie gets the same criticism even though that’s what he wanted. He didn’t want to be Robin, he wanted to be batman, the media spotlight and criticism is part of being batman.

Ever noticed the Black person always sits at the far right of the screen when another white person is present with Rachel? Never in the middle! Racist cinematic placement 101…Basic stuff here
