VJ Edgecombe stepped up in a major way in Game 7 on May 2, 2026, finishing with 23 PTS, 6 REB, 4 AST, and 5 3PM.

Edgecombe set the 76ers franchise record for most points by a rookie in a Game 7, passing Maurice Cheeks (20 in 1979).

He also made history beyond the franchise:
