And by far the most important trades were made in December a few years back. We’ve got a top 5 net now. Combine this with the rest of the team and we’re just too good to loose a series. We’d have to loose both goalies and another 5 or 6 players for me to start second guessing. Just insane team this season

Bro dial it back. Avs are the best. The playoffs are a different animal. A team that lost 50% more games in regulation than they won has lost by one goal in two games, three if you dismiss the EN.

Idk if I’d say terrible. They have great pieces, (had) Kopi, Panarin, Kempe, Clarke, Forsberg is playing well, Fiala is out sadly. They’ve made the playoffs 5 straight seasons. Unfortunately, they’re just not good enough. They’re propped up by playing in the weakest division in the League and in order to beat the best teams in the west, they just have to be better. What it will take to get there is a whole other conversation.

@dherbmullin35 Yep, luckily it was only a few missed shifts but it was scary as i don’t remember the last game were down to 4. Having to go 1->2->1->2 against a physical team like the Kings isn’t sustainable.

The Kings play a very physical defensive style of hockey and are not “dirty.” There are biased fans of all 32 NHL teams that think the refs favor other teams over their team.

If Colorado doesn’t go on a run it’s because their special teams is going to cost them. They’re getting time to practice against LA and still can’t score on it. If not for letting in that shorthanded goal, I’d argue the kings power play has looked more dangerous despite being an awful offensive team
