Giannis or Step Curry to Boston

The way I look at this Tatum injury on celtics management. If celtics can win the title lead by Brown (withput Tatum), the management might decide to build around Brown rather than Tatum. Devastating for Tatums future contract and maybe legacy.

Jaylen Brown boutta be taking 30 shots a game, i think we are about to see him emerge in JTs absence as a superstar in the league, not just an option 2.

Crazy how he’s viewed as a #2 when he won MVP in the finals and conference finals last year. His time to prove a lot of people wrong now

I love it. Knick’s pathetic franchise is the flavor of the week only to be snuffed out real soon. I am going to have fun.

Coach asked brah to play harder & he tore his Achilles

KD is more of a tall elite shooter that doesn’t need that much athleticism to do his thing. He will always have a look at the basket through sheer height. Tatum is more of agile quick explosive player that demands more athleticism for his go-to moves. This is why we see KD not too much affected… but for a player like Tatum? It’s gonna be a different story for sure.

    This will extend his career

He will be back most likely the 2027 season. He will never be the same. At least he got his chip before this.

    Giannis to the Celtics?

  12. @keeganandersson4281

Celtics should keep White and Prichard. Porzingis and Holiday have to go, and Jalen Brown might be on the trading block as well. I could see them getting a nice package from the rockets for Brown

Trade jrue and porzingis for a max player
Trade brown for a 20-23 yo future star
Tank and get the top 3 pick
Back to a dynasty like that

Kobe was a different breed. Torn Achilles. Walk to the free throw line to shoot free throws, walk off the court by himself no help.

  16. @tmbink6467

    May 14, 2025 at 8:55 pm

Honestly saying the knicks are gonna win it all. Coming from perk and Steven a won’t age well.

-Kobe returned from an achilles injury but was clearly nowhere close to the same player (never made all NBA again)
-KD didn’t depend on athleticism/explosiveness as much as Tatum, or play defense at the same level but he still didn’t come back for 18 months

Doggy is seriously deluded if he thinks Tatum is coming back in “early 2026”. Best case is 12 months and even then he won’t be anywhere close to NBA playoff level healthy. Next season is a complete writeoff for him unfortunately. As for the Celtics.. Horford is already 38 and in serious decline. Jrue is 34 and declining. Both guys are going to be bums by the time Tatum returns. Brown will be 30 and who knows with his knees. KP 31 and always injured. White will be 32. Doubt ownership keeps them together because they aren’t going to be good enough to win the title for the next 2 years and no one wants to pay league high salaries/luxury taxes for a team that won’t be close to the title.

    Dominique Wilkins
Torn Achilles Injury on Jan. 28, 1992. He returned to the court with the Atlanta Hawks on Nov. 6, 1992, he then averaged 30 points in his first season back.

Can you please split out first take to be its own Youtube account eg. “NBA First Take on ESPN”? That’d be awesome so that I could then block it from my recommendations.

Every opponent be like: Let’s not tick off MJ so that he won’t thrive more.
MJ be like: So no one trying to mess with me now huh, and I’ll took it personal.

If they win the championship this year then most of the pieces will remain. Knicks getting packed up in 7.

    May 14, 2025 at 10:32 pm

I am genuinely optimistic that Tatum will be able to return to his normal self. He sustained the injury at a young age, he’s in great shape, and his conditioning is among the best in the NBA; he doesn’t rely on athleticism, and he isn’t a player who jumps off two feet. His primary jumping leg is the left, which is opposite the leg he injured.
