SAS pls stop it! Nash is a good hire. But I hear ya…we all know already. Tell your peeps to stand up for Mark Jackson. He’s the best coach that’s not on the market…

It’s simple, Stephen A. is a racist person. I remember on how he would constantly talk down Jeremy Lin despite Lin playing good during Linsanity. I live in the New York City area and I would listen to his local radio show in which he would attack Lin almost on a daily basis with subtle shots. He would often say you that you can’t play him over “brothas.” If that was not racist then I don’t know what is.

His arguments makes no sense of white privilege in NBA coaching realm; Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas, Doc Rivers, Derek Fisher, and Jason Kidd had all received head coaching gigs as African Americans with no previous coaching experience.

Steve Nash is part owner of Vancouver Whitecaps in MLS and Mallorca in Spanish La Liga. Both of the teams have performed great under his leadership due to Nash having created more of family type atmosphere. Nash is being hired more for relationship and egos management than X’s and O’s. He is being hired to foster a culture in Nets that he already has created in his other sports investments. Furthermore, he is also hired for his great relationship with KD and Kyrie.

Let’s call it like it is, Stephen A is a racist person and one of the worst talking heads. He is trying to make a connection of horrific murder of George Floyd somehow with Steve Nash head coaching hire. This is complete and utter clickbait nonsense and irresponsible on his part. Racism and discrimination are real problems that we are all collectively working hard to resolve in our country. It is not be thrown out loosely for clickbait in a sports situation in which it doesn’t even exist. If anything, it is reverse racism from Stephen A.

Screamin’ A should be embarrassed for such a take. As a visible minority, I do not see this as white privilege. I’ve watched the NBA for decades and I’ve seen the hirings. Jason Kidd, Doc Rivers, Derek Fisher, Mark Jackson, etc. These coaches did not have experience and are African American. So the argument that Steve Nash was hired because he is white is such BS especially when everyone who watches the NBA knows the man is a 2 time MVP, an 8 time all star and a hall of famer. Moreover, two superstars (who are Black) vouched for him. Don’t get me wrong, racism is a problem and it is there. But in this case, NO. Stop diminishing this serious problem with false accusations.

C’mon Stephen A. celebrate Steve Nash being chosen by his ex-teammate and various Black players. You never push for Latino or Asian panelist or coaches.

Not white privilege, but very smart. Bet you thought Kerr was white privilege, but it was very smart. Steve Being “disgusted” insults everyone. You are salty period. Bringing up police brutality and shootings is playing the race card.

Apologize Steve, Consider who Nash has played for & against. Top all time scorers in NBA. The West dominated. Those top players/teams wanting Nash to run their offense. All agreeing his basketball IQ was hall of fame.

This is proof that people saying they’re all about blm and anti-racism are actually racist people. Stephen A Smith is racist. It’s basketball why you gotta make it about race? It has nothing to do about race, but you got to make it that way.
