Tatum has a superteam, he’s incredibly lucky to have Jaylen Brown and Derrick White (who has all of a sudden turned into Steph Curry this postseason) by his side to carry him offensively. I’d be shocked if the Celtics keep getting away with this from Tatum in ECF/Finals (if they get there)

If I could post photos on here the defense that’s being played on him he got 3 people looking his way to try to stop him from scoring thats why Derrick white and JB and others are having big games

Nah don’t use logic man. He needs to go up and put 30 and lose.

double teamed and triple teamed on defense. the other guys are stepping up

A lot of defenses key on Tatum because they know that if he gets hot, the game is essentially over. They are challenging him to make the right reads and to not force the ball up in double and triple teams. He leads the team in rebounds and assists this post season as well. They have been blowing out the teams they are playing. Carry on

Tatum is struggling shooting the ball porzingis is out and there still beating teams by 15-20 points a night it’s not a concern

They are caughy up on the west

Let’s not act like Tatum can’t go average 45 for a series. His team is full of scorers he doesn’t need to force points just for the headlines. They’re playing to win banner 18 in Boston.. it’s different from the other teams

Guys doing everything else and playing within a team flow. Plus the C’s are still dominating. They’ll be fine

This is pretty nasty topic about a team that won by 25 due to Tatum’s defense and playmaking in this game.

There are other ways to have a good game

  11. @SSJRome

    May 8, 2024 at 10:59 am

Lol they may not need Tatum till the ECF with the way things are shaping up so he’s fine , unless he continues this when the team needs him the most.

A love how when other player were having inefficient game not a word but once Tatum starts struggling first topic Luka has been horrible not a single word

    May 8, 2024 at 11:00 am

They’ve had questionable comp and they been doubling him Cs game play is movement and get better shots. When he dribbled and took iso shots y’all complained too

    He sucks… shocker

It amazes how this is about his shooting struggles & not that he’s still impacting the game & not forcing anything. Illl take a 19/11 night for him while being double & triple teamed & not forcing a shot over 3 defenders to pass it to a teammate who is open & capable of hitting shots. Let’s not act like he’s not creating for his team. If espn just needs something to talk about- say that. Is he shooting struggling? Sure- but the old JT forces it instead of playing through it & still impacting your team’s success.

He is not strıng to pass defender
    He just jumpshot

I expect Tatum to have a breakout game soon he doesn’t really need to be Superman right now but I’m sure he will get his

Tatum has 1 triple double and 4 double-doubles so far in the 6 games the Celtics have played. His on and off-ball defense (that isn’t being recognized) has arguably been the best of his career. He’s doing everything that doesn’t show up in the stat sheet to win games. Having watched his entire career, his approach this postseason is very different than in the past, as he wants a championship more than the induvial accolades, although he’s played more like an MVP this year than in 2022 and 2023 despite the dip in PPG.

is he starting his annual choke job early this year? I hope not. poor kid

This is just terrible analysis they won by 25 if Tatum doesn’t need to force it don’t force it. Doggy thanks for your positivity

Tatum just isn’t that guy . Kobe wouldn’t like him he would rather have ANT as a pupil

  22. @kb4231

    May 8, 2024 at 11:05 am

Team is so loaded it may not matter pertaining to the East.

  23. @Ricardo_24

    May 8, 2024 at 11:05 am

Tatum had 45 against Minnesota when they play in the season in over time Tatum can go off but other guys from the team gotta shine and score too

  24. @jabariigeorge7425

    May 8, 2024 at 11:05 am

So we are not gonna talk about his outstanding rebounding, defense, and playmaking? Smh some people shouldn’t talk basketball

  25. @cameronmcmaster

    May 8, 2024 at 11:06 am

It’s crazy cause they act like Alexander walker gonna hit 4 3s every game and Naz Reid gonna go off every game that not gonna happen it’s insane how much they focus on 1 player being not so good shooting wise but not focus on other team issue the Timberwolves are a bad matchup for the nugget because of size and length and ultimately they don’t have any other shot creator on the Murray and Jokic. And if Derrick white is playing like the way he is Tatum doesn’t have to be perfect and this is without Porzingis I think they just forget the amount of talent the Celtics have on this team the Timberwolves are also very limited when it comes to scoring outside of KAT, Ant and Naz everyone else isn’t really a scoring like that. They will always point out the Celtics flaws but not anyone else
