Harper has issues with TOs, not as bad as Castle but some of them could’ve been very costly against OKC. I’m not saying playing Fox got a better result, it clearly didn’t, just that playing Harper at the end of a tight game isn’t a no brainer

I can appreciate Wemby being from France, but I wish they would leave the French questions out of these pressers. I don’t know what is being asked and I don’t know how’s he’s answering these questions. They should consider a separate French presser for that.

Respectfully, Harrison Barnes should not shoot long jump shots. I know he can make them but the Spurs have better long-range shooters. HB has 6 offensive fouls to play with. He should be going at KAT every time he’s on the floor b/c KAT is easy to bait into fouling if you go at him.

I think Keldon needs to be played more minutes. Like HB, Keldon needs to use his 6 offensive fouls an attack KAT every chance he gets. Similarly, whoever Jalen Brunson is guarding should be exploiting that matchup. Not only is Brunson an easy bucket but the Spurs need to tire him out some by making him work harder on defense.

Stephon Castle explicitly stating that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a tougher cover than Jalen Brunson is a massive quote.
It shows a few things about where San Antonio’s head is at:
Battle-Tested Confidence: Coming out of the Western Conference gauntlet, Castle is essentially saying they’ve already faced the ultimate perimeter test in SGA.
Tactical Shade: While Brunson is elite at using angles, deceleration, and footwork, SGA’s combination of length, pace, and foul-drawing is a different animal.
Castle minimizing Brunson’s difficulty level is the exact kind of swagger you want from your lead point-of-attack defender, even if it provides instant bulletin-board material for the Knicks.
The collective sentiment that the Spurs believe they are outright the better team is just as important.
They clearly don’t view the 105-95 loss as the Knicks overpowering them; they view it as a self-inflicted collapse.
When a team attributes a Finals loss strictly to 4th-quarter execution rather than a talent gap, they usually come out in Game 2 playing highly aggressive, desperate basketball.
They know they just need to clean up the late-game turnovers and defensive lapses rather than completely overhauling their game plan.
