Do yall see how much Rudy standing in the paint affects the other teams offense?? They can’t even get layups they have to rely on mid ranges makes it harder to score… DPOY.

this spurs season has not only been disappointing…it’s also been one of the worst seasons—ever. no one can make sense of anything the front office is doing. and no one understands anything that’s happening right now. the spurs got derrick white back from a foot injury late last year. when he shook the rust off—the spurs started playing some really good basketball—especially during the play-in series. this year they get derrick back early in the season—and not only that, but dejounte is having his best saeson as a pro. demar is having a great season—probably playing the best he’s ever played on the defensive end. lonnie took a step forward playing with more confidence. keldon got off to a strong start and still continues to play well. they draft/add a solid defender and underrated scorer in devin vassell to an already talented core of wing players. jakob poetl has turned to be the perfect compliment to the talented young group. and the biggest surprise might be drew eubanks—who pretty much has come out of no where to establish himself as a legit rotation player and a player, honestly—the spurs really need. if the team is experiencing all this growth/improvement, why are they worst this year than they were last year? sub .500. can’t get stops despite have 4-5 above average defenders. they go out and get marquiss chriss who probably won’t play a game this year. no help there. they bring in giougi dieng who, for some reason has the green light to shoot 3pt shots. luka samanic can give you the same production, if not more—if pop would play him more than 3 minutes at a time. defense has been an issue all season long. patty is great, but at this point i think devin holds just as much value as a defender and spot up 3pt shooter and should’ve been on the floor in many of the games that were lost in the 4th quarter. the spurs were great without lamarcus toward the end of last season. clear proof that it was time to lean on the youngster more. instead of letting them take a much needed step up in their developement, the spurs decide to revamp lamarcus’ game so he can better mesh with young guys. that didn’t work. it took almost entire season for the spurs’ front office and coaching staff to realize that the team is ready to move forward with the young players. and here they are now—still looking for ways to get veterans to take minutes away from young guys (that they drafted) that have been busting their azzes for 2-3 years now in the spurs system. last year lonnie walker was playing 12-15 minutes a game. why?….because the coaching staff didn’t see the need to start him over bryn forbes. ridiculous. not only that, but they had marco bellinelli coming in the game basically as an 11th man to further cut into lonnie walker’s minutes. makes no sense. all these young talented players on the roster and we’re still here waiting for them to reach their potential. again, why? if this team doesn’t make the playoffs (not the play-in series)—this would undoubtedly go down as waisted season.
