If Harden gets traded then this is the OFFICIAL end of the super team era. The headaches bringing in 3 superstars together, whether it’s the chemistry, the salary issues, the impossible issues of fixing superteams when you’re handcuffed by these salaries and the power the players have. That era is dust. Teams are going to shift to two stars and complementary pieces around them. Big 3s are too difficult to manage.

Making a basketball argument and using divisions in that argument makes the argument less credible. Who cares about divisions in the NBA they don’t matter.

76er’s got Maxey who is younger, cheaper, up and comer, and doesn’t turn the ball over. Seth Curry shoots the ball at a much better field goal percentage then Harden. The Sixers made some really bad trades over the years and if this goes through it will be one of those. Harden leads the league in turnovers, shoots a horrendous 41% from the field, plays no defense and will want a max extension paying him close to 50 million a year for the next 4 years and with the way he is declining in 2 years minimum he will be as untradeable as Wall & Westbrook.

Trade Kyrie Irving for Russell Westbrook.
Bring Damian Lillard and Harrison Barnes to Philly 76’s

I mean perk is right but I’d rather have Ben and KD then allowing Harden to walk and have Kd and a part time kyrie

I would do the trade if I’m Brooklyn but I need Ben/Curry/Milton & a 1st to send to SAC with Joe Harris & Cam Thomas for Harrison Barnes. I’d let Philly keep Maxey/Thybulle & Danny Green but I need Ben, a guy that’s not afraid to shoot in Seth & Shake is insurance for Kyrie

Trading Ben Simmons and Seth curry/role player is not trading the house. You’d be trading an asset that won’t be playing another game for your team and a role player for a genuine superstar that would perfectly fit next to your franchise player

Ben will never win a title on any team where he’s playing starter’s minutes, making max $$, and required to play the last 5 minutes of games as long as he can’t make free throws and refuses to shoot outside of 8 feet. All the defensive capabilities in the world can’t make up for that combination of deficiencies.
