The Toronto Raptors closed the game on a 20-8 run to defeat the Charlotte Hornets, 111-100, and earn their first win of the #NBAPreseason. Matt Thomas scored a game-high 16 PTS (4 3PM) for the Raptors off the bench, and OG Anunoby netted 11 PTS and 5 REB. No. 3 pick LaMelo Ball dazzled in his Hornets preseason debut, tallying 10 REB and 4 AST. Miles Bridges led the Hornets in scoring with 12 PTS and Gordon Hayward scored 11 PTS in his Charlotte preseason debut.

    Melo is smooth as butter with the ball. NBA is a long haul where talent plus endurance rule the day. LBJ is the king because of those two traits. Melo has the talent. Time will tell if he has the endurance.
