Are you bad. We beat both teams 3 times this yr. We are not begging for relevancy. Botb teams are. We have had a winning culture since the last 10 yrs. We ‘ve only missed the play off during the Tampa year. I bet you didn’t watch the game from the start. The refs dictate it & Raps players & NN played right in their hands. DM points were mostly on wide open FGAs. He avg 17 pts the 1st 3 gms & came out to prove something. I know tge guys & NN will learn from this b/ c they know what the bigger picture is. If FVV played tonight the gm plan would have executed better despite his limitations his poise & leadership o the court would have help.

@will harden as much as I hate Boston they’re so much better than cavs, Tatum can clamp mitchell and Tatum could easily score on mitchell
Jaylen brown will make mobley look like a scrub on defense, cause brown is a cold blooded killer
And smart could clamp garland easily too
All you need to do is shutdown Cleveland guards and they’re a doo doo team.

Mobley — as a legit 7-footer with that insane length — taking the ball at halfcourt, driving into Siakam (who is a very good defender), dribbling right around him, muscling him out of the way and then dunking with his off-hand, all in one smooth motion. When you combine what he’s now starting to become on offense which is a playmaking big (he had 4 assists) who is a threat inside and out *with* an already DPOY level skillset on the other end… I mean, this is the kind of player you build in a lab.

This is what’s scary if you’re a playoff team in the East. The Cavs are still a couple years away from being a *real* threat to win a chip, but Garland’s suddenness with the ball in his hands combined with Mitchell’s shot-making from literally anywhere… impossible to defend and I don’t care if we’re talking about the Bucks, Celtics, 76ers or whomever. When those guys are in a rhythm *like this* they’re the best back-court in the NBA.

Watch as Garland slowly brings the ball up the floor on the right wing, as he often does, and the Raptors begin preparing for horns & the Cavs usual screen-action. But DM+DG are starting to really know one another. Mitchell stealthily runs in-sync with Garland 2 steps behind near mid-court. Suddenly (again, this is the thing that makes Garland such a handful) he turns from casually dribbling the ball into a cross-court bounce-pass that whizzed by multiple Raptors defenders and landed perfectly in Mitchell’s shooting pocket at the top of the key. Splash.

Win 4 games, Detroit twice, Orlando, basically free wins, against tanking teams, started talk about possibly going up 6th to avoid play-in. Well, well… got destroyed by a real team…

I have to say Raptors’ idea of defence is absolute shit. They give way too much space to three-point shooters they never have an idea of who picks up who and are ALWAYS late on defensive rotation …… always. It doesn’t matter how athletic you are if you have no organization on defence you will always get done …..not impressed …at all
