    • Gonzo Santi

      April 22, 2021 at 11:26 pm

He misses on open shooters, he shoots outrageous airballs, and is anti-lonnie like most of the team. Not to mention silly mistakes/turnovers and insane shot selections in the paint (layups/floaters over three people; etcetera) that suggest this team is actually trying to lose. Literally trying to lose. He makes very very strange decisions just like Pop, Demar, Rudy Gay, etc

I see what coach Pop did here. This is a future starting lineup he has in his head!
    Pg: White

@GirlOnceu37 Dj has had 6 years and he hasn’t blossomed yet. He’s better suited as a 6th man! And if he doesn’t like well.. they can always find a team that would want him for a good player in return.

  35. Nine cuz9

    April 23, 2021 at 3:56 am

I love demar and patty and I think spurs still need both of them for post season.
but it was better ball movement and defense without demar and patty last 2 games suns and pistons.
they put demar and patty last night versus heats, and they lost. defense was terrible compare to versus suns game.
I’m not sure it was just coincidence or not. but for sure is devin vassel’s defense is way better than patty’s and his 3’s is getting better every games.
maybe next year is gonna be the real time for new era. it’s time for spurs need to get used to play without demar.

    • Renzo Azur

      April 23, 2021 at 5:38 am

Spurs wont let go mills, they want to retire mills as a spurs. Trade demar with gay for a young core like kuzma, d angelo russel, lavigne and so on.
Or trade for a high iq player.

    • Nine cuz9

      April 24, 2021 at 1:19 am

@Renzo Azur well, who knows? even tp9 moved to hornets before retired. and couple of sources said patty was on the trade block before the season.

this game proves some of things i been saying about the spurs. first, as much as i like demar, the offense has a lot more pop and punch when he’s not of the floor. i think it’s because the young guys don’t have to defer as much to demar. which means each guy is more of threat within the offense instead of being just an “option.” second, lonnie should start over derrick. don’t get me wrong, derrick is great as starter and i love, love his game. but imagine if he brought his style/game in as a 6th man. he would absolutely shine. and he would add a much needed defensive punch to the second unit. look at what jordan clarkson is doing for utah. he’s the favorite to win the 6th man award this year—and he’s no where near the defender derrick is. if derrick were to come off the bench, i would bet the farm and everything on it that he would win multiple 6th man of year awards…easily. lonnie gives the 1st unit more speed athleticism, length—and i think he pairs a little bit better with dejounte. third, pop needs to let the tim, tony, manu and kawhi eras go. even though they’re not here, the spurs ARE STILL the spurs. and he has really good team—arguably more talented than he’s ever had. pop should think about the team and these young guys moving forward. as much as pop doesn’t want to hear that he’s the greatest coach of all time, the fact is…HE IS!!! and he has a young budding team that, i think, has western conference finals potential. there’s no coach in the league more qualified to get them there than popovich.

Never pass the ball to your left if you got a great angle with your dominant hand.whether its running up a lane,a 3 pointer or a shot close gettn to ur spots on the floor.you ll get farther fully commiting than 2nd guessing yourself.unless u left handed its gonna be a sloppy pass versus a crisp attack w ur dominant hand.gotta bump mfs n make em foul u.i dont care what the defense is doing if they double in zone mak that first guy prove he can guard u.dont get discouraged if u get blocked cuz paybk a b….. that doesn’t mean you can dribble to the left or move to the left off the ball rotating is everything that’s how Steph Curry gets open
