There’s Lakers fans and Kobe fans that are bitter about LeBron being LeBron and Kobe being Kobe. Real Lakers fans know we were ABSOLUTELY in the dark ages. Nobody wanted to be ‘the guy’ in LA and deal with the scrutiny and so the Lakers just rotted away as this terrible franchise to conclude Kobe’s career and then post-Kobe. He made the Lakers must watch again, and I hope there’s one thing EVERY Laker fan can have some unity over: Rob Pelinka is garbage. Jeanie Buss was also garbage. As a kid I always wondered how some of the most historic NFL franchises ended up laughing stocks of the league. This very well could have happened to the Lakers but it didn’t. After the legendary Jerry Buss, things just went down south. Think of all the talent the Lakers drafted or had on their teams, players that went on to win championships with other franchises or blossom on other franchises? We had a prime (obviously not his true Heat/2018 prime, but still “prime”) LeBron James, and Anthony Davis at times playing like the greatest or second greatest player in the NBA. Pelinka never got those two incredible players a competent roster except one time. After that chip, they lose so much of the roster and never get back to it again. We had years of LeBron and AD begging for a competent center and the best we got was Jaxon “The Domestic Disturbance” Hayes. Then we get Luka and he begs for a great center and gets Dominayton 😂
