C’mon Pedro, he’s a buddy so you’re making excuses. Devers has been subbed out for pinch runners dozens of times over his career, what is to misunderstand? Was his screaming into the helmet and childishly avoiding the “attaboy” from the coach also a misunderstanding?

I think Devers was wrong for how he behaved, but he certainly hasn’t been pinch-ran for “dozens of times over his career.” It’s probably less than 5 times. Teams rarely pinch-run for their best hitter, if at all. You can say, “He’s seen his teammates pinch-ran dozens of times in his career.” You don’t need to make up stuff to make your point.

@NatTurnerswitBurnerz He has been replaced for a pinch runner whenever a situation calls for it. He is not a fast runner and sometimes a run is needed to tie or win a game

Language barrier ain’t got shyt to do with what happened. Baseball or any sport for that matter Durant require Language to understand what to do. Especiallywhen this was a situational opportunity

It’s plausible, but Devers doesn’t have the strongest track record, and that doesn’t help in a situation like this. His history makes it easier for people to question his version of events, whether that’s fair or not.

Devers has a diva complex. The difference is Pedro got away with it because he was one of the top players in the game. Devers has a neutral WAR. If he didn’t have that contract he would have been cut or dealt.
