Wait. So u’re just gonna cut the highlight short @9:27? As soon as Jokic got the ball in the post, it just cuts to the end of the game?

Ingram lost the game by himself. along with the big Euro stiff who can’t play defense.

I appreciate the nuggets pulling this one out but i don’t think I can do this again. The only reason the nuggets won because they so much better tangibly and they couldn’t stop Jokic. But the only reason the Pelicans had any chance down the stretch was cuz the nuggs horrid D. And it starts with Jok. Some his fault and some not. As is to start with he’s already not a good defender. But when u add on that he’s got so much responsibility on offense it makes it even worse. And he’s the superstar of the team so he always has to be in the game. Which means that liability in the paint d is always gonna be there. Ur perimter d can be as good as it wants to. Ur only as good as what’s behind u. Ur defense in the paint or rim protection. Ur only as good as that. And because of that this team is offense or bust

The whole “Jokic can’t play D” narrative doesn’t hold up to facts. Before Jokic was hurt a couple weeks ago the Nuggs held 4 or 5 teams in row to under 100, which in today’s NBA is crazy. When he was out the Nuggs D fell apart. Last year he was top 3 in Defensive Real Plus-Minus and Defensive Player Impact Plus-Minus. Not sure what it is this year.
If all you watch are highlights like this, you get a skewed view of the impact he has on defense. He is not a prototypical 7′ shot blocker. But he has great hands, is in good position on the floor and has a knack for defensive rebounds. I challenge you to watch a full game and see how he impacts the game defensively- he is no slouch.

Well if that’s true then I’ll change my mind on the nuggs. I’m also dead tired and wasn’t able to read all that. I will tomorrow. We’ll continue this tommorow. But I’m tellin you that’s not what I saw bro. He was a total liability in the paint to everything lol bum guards driving to the hoop and doing whatever they want. Either a dump off to garbage Jonas or open 3s. That’s what I saw. Now if that’s a abboration then I hope so. But I’ve seen I’m a lot lol this ain’t my first time watching Jokic lol. But I haven’t watched much nba reg season this season I actually hate nba reg season a lot. There’s only a small portion that I’m involved in and try to stay away from everything else. All I’m saying is this. I know Jokic fully lol I know his game. Maybe 4 years now. What I seen today from his defense I think it’s a good chance that’s what he is because of a few reasons. But hey if I’m wrong and he’s actually a good defender then good I hope I’m wrong. I don’t wanna be done with the nuggs I like them. Just watch the last 6 minutes of tonight’s game and OT and ull see what I mean. If that’s a abboration then cool I take it all back. But the thing is I’m not a green horn here to the nba lol I know Jokic well I’ve seen his defense for at least 3 years now. The only way it’s different if it’s drastically changed this year. But anyway let me know on this stuff. We’ll continue this tomorrow

The 5 teams in a row to under 100 depends who they played bro. All dependent on that. Not narrative not anything forget all that. Everything I said was based on what I saw tonight. Nothing else. Not interested in his defensive plus-minus or anything related like that. This is what I’m interested in if u can tell me these things. Btw the nuggs are ranked one of the worst in defensive fg%. For me that’s one of the most damning evidence when I’m judging a defense. But the other thing I wanna know is I wanna see the points in the paint allowed list for all the teams. And I wanna see where the nuggs ranked in that. The fg% is a bad sign for me I’m tellin u. Cuz I weight that almost the most. PPG a I don’t weight much cuz just the league is different now. They go up n down more and score more. To me FG% is one of the most important in defense. And they bottom in it. I wanna see the points in the paint thing if ur able to get it

To be fair refs did not help the pels down the stretch at all, called charges all night the other way and missed the one late in the 4th vs ingram. Plus the handchecking calls while jokic had the ball but BI couldn’t get those same calls hurt. Gordon did a great job on BI but if he gets the same calls jokic gets it is a diff outcome
