CONVERSATION FOR THE NBA (suggestion) :
I think a blocked shot that results in ur teammates getting the ball should be considered a block and an assisted STEAL. Give both players a 0.5 on the steal, like how NFL does assisted SACKS and if the Player who blocked the shot gets the ball it should be considered a BLOCK and a STEAL because of the turnover caused.

    • @sahollis5520

      March 24, 2026 at 7:19 am

Nope just a block and turnover. Logged ss points off turnovers.by your logic every deflection that results in points would be a steal or assisted steal conflating two different stats.

    • @N_I_am_Human

      March 24, 2026 at 5:13 pm

@sahollis5520 I said nothing about points. and No I’m not. I am stating a block is not a turnover, the clock doesn’t restart so it is still the other teams possession. and If I block ur shot and then go an take it away that Turnover is a steal.
The player not only blocked but then hustled to take the ball or as a team they hustled to take the ball.

A turnover is more like, ball goes out of bounds, fouls, stuff like this. Taking the ball away from the other team is a steal.
