Nothing wrong with Hand checking by no means. As much as the most players get to use they’re hands on offense. Great defense without it this time❗️💁🏾‍♂️💪🏾🏀

VJ Edgecombe stepped up in a major way in Game 7 on May 2, 2026, finishing with 23 PTS, 6 REB, 4 AST, and 5 3PM.

Edgecombe set the 76ers franchise record for most points by a rookie in a Game 7, passing Maurice Cheeks (20 in 1979).

He also made history beyond the franchise:

Just the 2nd rookie EVER to hit 5+ threes in a Game 7, joining Luguentz Dort
Joins Jayson Tatum as the only players in NBA history with 20+ PTS in a Game 7 at age 20 or younger
First rookie EVER with 20+ PTS, 5+ REB, and 5+ 3PM in a Game 7

A breakout performance on the biggest stage 🔥
