As a suns fan not surprised he went for 40. Honestly Dbook & Cp3 getting hurt was a HUGE blessing because Ayton couldn’t carry the load and it was up to Bridges to set up and delivered .

Been saying it all along that DA and not to this extent Bridges held back from Montes Coaching (good coach in many ways but developing and implenting the talent on his team shortfall.) Depends too much on Booker who has the lowest FG pct of all the starters

      February 16, 2023 at 6:37 pm

Last year yes Monty fucked up. This year they were having Chris play off ball to force kal to decelop( he’s not naturally agressive and actually likes to defer) this mindset had to be forced on him. And it was some growing pain but the injuries were actually good for his career. Monty should have forced it last season for sure. I’m very pissed off about it actually, but kal has slowly been making leaps every year. He got better in this last season just struggled in the playoffs and just took a major leap this season and now can be the man in Brooklyn

    • Jose Leffud

      February 16, 2023 at 7:42 pm

@Mikaela decker ok agree with so much and will add my point of it pertaining to last year is to the collapse. The collapse “might” not have happened if DA and Mikal were implemented more in season rather than trying to make Book 1st team all nba. Da was frustrated setting 50 screens a game shooting 60pct and being called not engaged. He took exception in the Dallas series I felt Mikal should have also but water under the bridge now.

    • Mikaela decker

      February 16, 2023 at 6:35 pm

He’d made a leap this season. Wish Monty would have forced it last season but it took everyone being out for him to be agressive and confident like this. Makes me go man, really fucked up by not forcing it sooner. The plan for the suns was to force the issue anyway this season and have Chris play off ball a lot more, but all the injuries really forced the issue. He was carrying us in the clutch and running books sets getting to books spots. He got that confidence and swag. He took a leap.

When at Villanova , it was such a balanced team – he only got 12 to 15 pts / game. But if he was asked to score more , he would have. He HAS TALENT. Good pick up for the Nets
