69 points against actual defense without traveling is impressive but 18 rebounds by a 6’6 shooter guard. That to me is more impressive and MJ is one of the greatest rebounders defenders and the best playmaker in NBA history.

6:18 I did not notice any foul.
maybe that’s the start of a new era of Referees Orders from NBA

If you tell me after the spectacle this man left on the court ave what he did for the culture of basketball with his sneakers, the amount of players he influenced to be like mike, he isnโ€™t the greatest player to play Iโ€™d think youโ€™re making jokes because nobody in their right mind can say this.

      March 28, 2025 at 9:55 pm

change the role then: make Jordan play in Center as Rodman, and make Rodman takes the role of FF or Point ward, and so let’s see if your God, is as good as all the people say.

@ i understand your point but that isnโ€™t what happened so I canโ€™t make such guess that would be hypothetical, Iโ€™m talking about what has happened. Perhaps in your fantasy draft Bron can is the greatest but in reality Jordan is the art form of basketball he is the embodiment of the game, not only his stats but his style and achievements on and off the nba court. Lebron is the best all around player due to his size and ability but he isnโ€™t the embodiment of basketball not more than Jordan so definitely not Kobe not magic and thatโ€™s my argument.

the Chicago Bulls with M.J., were the best performance and best team because (?), Phil said the plan and the struchture for the team with each player playing his role, taking advantage of every player profile, and the result was a team with a key player, in consequence making M.J. to be the leader.
to say “the greatest player” , the best player, the God of Basketball is a lie. his numbers are the result of a good team with excellent coaching and struchtrurs,
if you don’t have a team playing in a solid struchture and taking advantage of what each player can offer, thne you have Dan Marino,
there are a lot of “excellent and fantastic players” _wasted_ because the coach, the mannagement, the plans and roles,
M.J. is “the best” because had the best team, *he did not play alone* – what’s about Pippen?, he was the best player too, doing the right for all the team.
*why Bil Cartwright or BJ Armstrong weren’t considered as the best legendary and historical bla bla bla?* because they played a different role.
in Soccer, someone got to score the goals leaving behind the basic TEAM Idea, but reality is they are a team, same with basketball, someone got to score and move in a mixed role to score more. *try change the roles: MJ playing the Rodman’s position, you would see the best player in the world no he is not* .

It’s the way he moves – his speed, his stop on a dime, his fadeaway, dribbling clinics, cutting, defense, his non-stop energy that made him unstoppable. He looks like he was ready to get 79, 89 points if it came down to it.

To people who diminish MJ’s game or status but are all in for Shai being MVP this year, you’re a clear hypocrite.

Shai is doing what he’s doing mainly from mid range, while not being nearly the athlete MJ was, not being as quick as MJ was and not being the defender MJ was.

And to those who say “MJ played against trash defenses”. Okay let’s look at this.

Shai averaged 34 PPG vs the Timberwolves last season and they had the best team defense, hence why Rudy bum ass got the award. He averaged 30.1 for the season and everyone felt he got robbed for MVP.

MJ averaged 38 vs Detroit in 1988 where he would get fouled the dirtiest of ways, ways that would get you suspended 25-30 games now. And in that very season, he was MVP, DPOY and the scoring leader for the regular season. All while not having a team as talented as what Shai has around him now.
