We’ve heard this every day from the so called analyst this year…They need to trade Marcus Smart or can Jaylen and Jayson play together. Guess what? They don’t need to trade Marcus. Yes Jaylen and Jayson can play together. The analyst are wrong. They needed a head coach. Look, I liked Brad Steven but he just wasn’t good enough. Ime should get coach of the year for where this team started this year to where they are.

Someone give me a non nephew, casual take on why Marcus Smart “deserved” this award over Bam, Gobert, or even Giannis. Again, I emphasize, don’t give me some regurgitated, media pushed, highlight watcher BS narrative about “well, a guard hasn’t had it in a long time!” garbage. Give me a statistical reason why, and back it up. No only that, tell me why he was +20000 to win the award, and leap frogged 4 other contenders, including his own teammate, in Williams, who, ironically happens to be a better defender then he is…on why he “deserved” the award… So far, comments are just a bunch of casual bums who started watching hoops when the Warriors started their run, and the league turned into a sabre metric, 3 point, soft ass league!

@Orion1232 Gobert is a beast but why canβt a guard win it. I understand 2 blocks per game is great but so is 2 steals. Guards have to fight through screens and stay with shifty ball handlers. Centers stand around the paint and use their length to block lay up attempts. I watch every Celtics game and I rather have smart than Robert Williams. Rob Williams dominated just as much if not more than gobert. Centers prevents twos, guards prevent twos and threes

@Bryan H nah he flops sometimes to sell the charge. If he does it 3 times in one game that doesnβt discredit the rest of the possessions of total lockdown defense. I get it you hate him and rarely watch him play

Anyway its what they decided i barely think hes top 5 def guy. I put bam giannis gobert easily better and influence game on that end
