Geez. Traditionalists. So the only legitimate championship game is after 82 games?
I see how going through a whole year, ups and downs, injuries and trades- you see who rises is important.

But I also see that, before trading away players, before injuries, can also be interesting to see who is the best, now.
Also the strategies needed at the beginning of the year would be quite different, more strategy, more options, is beneficial to us as viewers.

Even when we’ve been having banger games, Mad Dog still finds something to complain about…. We really need to move on from the Jordan fan age group. They’re not even the target demographic

Spoken like a true non athlete. Athletes know if you tell me I’m playing “X” whatever that is and all my competitors show up, I want to win it! Sure it’s not an NBA Chip. But it’s something because everyone showed up to compete in it.

There are in season cups in European football and they take nothing away from the League cup. But to athletes and competitors it means something! What a dork!

PO💩 LeBalco is to blame for this. LeDress is never catching MJ or Kobe so they allow this for LeDiddy

spitting straight facts this is the most pointless thing the nba ever did and now this year’s all star game format is probably the second most pointless

The Cup has brought a lot of attention to early regular season and what’s wrong with that? If you are fan you don’t care if it is “organic” or not. Plus the cup has help bring young teams to the forefront. Pacers were runners up in first NBA Cup n the following yr they made in the NBA Finals. OKC were runner up in 2nd Cup and in the same yr they were NBA Champs. The Spurs are the new young “it” team. It’s not far fetch that next yr Spurs can be in West Finals or NBA Finals.
