That was an all time great first half and then he completely ran out of steam and was pretty bad in the second half, although he hit some clutch shots. He’s a great player, don’t get me wrong but he could be comparable to Jordan if he worked on his conditioning, but now his shortcomings are pretty obvious… He is better for the national team though, because he actually tries to play defense and got thinner (unlike Jokić for instance who got fatter), but can’t make it up for skipping gym during the whole season. It might be inconsequential for Slovenia since Germany should be too hard to beat even if he scored 60, but Lakers might never win a ring with him

90s defense or any old defense is good but not better than todaya defense. Player are just so good offensively todays that defense cant keep up.

No one who is watching this tournament is saying that. He isn’t and will never be a good 1 on 1 defender but he’s showing amazing effort on defence getting blocks, steals and playing good team defence due to his better conditioning.
