When lonzo’s confident, he’s a really really good player, makes great decisions, shoots without any hesitation, gets his teammates involved, does great things. But you can see when he’s not confident, he doesn’t talk to his teammates, he takes bad shots, he slumps his shoulders and puts his head down. Dude can ball though

What many don’t realize, Zo has to guard Steph and score. And this is only the 3rd game of Zo’s career of putting up 20 shots or more. Many players have bad shooting games but Zo has never even had the opportunity to be a scorer since he averages less that 12 shots a game due to the fact the Pels have BI and Zion for scoring. How can any shooter get into a rhythm taking 12 shots a game? Some bench players get more shots. But I think Zo is starting to realize, it’s time to put shots up. The inconsistency is due to forcing shots to engage in the offense because there are basically no plays for him. I don’t even understand why there aren’t more lobs for him as Lebron use to do. He was known as a dunker not a 3 point shooter but now he’s known as a 3 point shooter. Once a team allows him to be Zo, you will see how wrong people are. It’s coming. If the Pels keep Zo, BI, and Zion together and add a couple of shooters, it’s over.

I honestly wonder if LaMelos insTant confidence in the NBA has rubbed off on Lonzo to a degree. Perhaps seeing what his bro can do by staying so hungry and agressivr has helped turn that on for Lonzo. Maybe in a way he is now trying to match lamelo or one up him. It often seemed that Lonzo didn’t really care that much about being the best player on the court. He seemed to care more about just playing his role, not messing up too much? Blending in? But there is nothing like sibling rivalry!! Maybe that’s what he needed!! Maybe lot of his motivation always comes from his family and his status within his family and his personal
Life. So while he was the only NBA player, he was clearly at the top of the family hierarchy, maybe he was too comfortable. Then lamelo comes along and everyone says he’s the better player now…you know for the first time it wasn’t just people saying lamelo had the higher potential, but it finally got to the point where lamelo WAS seen as better than lonzo in this moment. I think that might be why we are finally seeing a lonzo that wants to go out and prove himself every single night, and even if that leads to him shooting 3-20 some nights, he’ll live with it. You can’t shoot 10-20 if you aren’t willing to take 20 shots! You can dominate a game if you aren’t willing to try and dominate a game!

yall gotta understand that the pelicans are stacked with ball dominant players. Lonzo has this in his bag but he can’t pull it out all the time because he has to make plays and passes for zion and ingram. Bledsoe is gonna be doing that too so unless someone is cold or out he can’t do this.
