@Naga Priestwell bron made it clear he fully supports his sons in anything he does meaning basketball is completely bronny’s choice. Bronny’s name was quite literally gonna be brons name but HE willingly changed it because he wanted his own legacy. And that is his passion and the passion of so many. I think you are also
forgetting that for so many black men basketball is one of the only choices they have. not sayin them kids growing up in the hood can’t be educated but let’s face it’s hard to teach them something that ain’t gonna appeal to them. And completely leaving out feelings and passion is completely contradictory to what your saying because that simply means you would rather force these black men to go into education and having “real jobs” as people who don’t understand passion call it than them playing ball or just sports in general. Just saying 🤷♂️

@Basement dweller If your willing to put black men in such a small box as only sports, so be it. And I really don’t believe kids in the “hood” don’t have a willingness to be educated because the topics are not interesting to them. It’s more so having someone tell them they are worthy of intelligence and pushing them to excel for greater. Sports is popular because the majority culture has convinced us for so long that’s all we are good for, when the fact is they were scared of us becoming more powerful than them.

I feel like this is the wrong place to discuss this. Lots of us black men are successful outside of sports but if you want more to choose that path then commenting on YouTube won’t help

@wabdih Actually it will because many don’t see the issue and have been made to believe that sports and rap are the only means to success for us. And the point of me even saying what I said was not because black men aren’t “successful” as it is, but that we can push for career paths that could potentially create more impactful means to the longevity and relevance of black folks. It has less to do with success in terms of money vs success by means of opening closed doors to our people that are dominated by other races. Yet as long as we’re made to believe in bouncing and shooting a ball is our only purpose in the world, we will become a defunct people. The world in 100 years won’t need a basketball or football, but people thinking of and creating more sustainable energy and food sources (amongst many other things). And posting this here does matter because not only am I planting the seed for younger guys watching this to consider my words, but as well for it be made known we’re able to do way much more then be someone else’s entertainment. I literally see mothers and father’s care more about their black boys playing sports then academic achievement.

One of the first things I noticed. The kid running so hard to catch Bronny and almost did until Bronny took to the air and replicated his dad’s famous 1 hand jam. Praying for continued health for all these young men. Basketball is secondary GOD and health are first. Without those two Basketball is not possible. In Jesus name amen🙏🏿
