Kobe being on that team really was the first time he broke down those walls and allowed himself to be friends with the enemy. Prior to this, he never fraternized. He set the tone for that team from the jump and took the lead. He took on the toughest defensive assignment and was the closer. Most importantly, his teammates got a front row seat on what it took to be a champion.

Dream team 96 should’ve been in way before the redeem team, which wasn’t even that good. This whole redeemed team garbage is just propaganda and manufactured because they’re trying to act as if there was other teams robbing the 92 teams which it didn’t. The 96 team got robbed and would’ve beat the living hell out of the redeemed team

Brons body language when that question was ask said a thousand words. He hated that question. He didnt want to give Kobe any praise or spotlight.

@NelGill1
September 7, 2025 at 4:56 pm
It’s true. He hates giving anyone else shine—he had to mention how old he was at the time to downplay why he couldn’t be the leader of that team.

September 7, 2025 at 5:47 pm
Winning is everything to Kobe not to LeBron. Kobe could care less if you liked him, he just wanted to WIN. LeBron cares more about being liked than winning. No hate either, it’s just the truth.

LeBron should have shave that head off long time ago around the Heat dynasty much like Jordan did in the Bulls before their first nba title and Kobe a few years after Shaq left the Lakers for Bryant to be the guy in LA.

Of course he was. You couldn’t count on bron or bosh or anyone else to win. You had wade and prince who’d got rings. But we’ve seen what lebron led teams can do vs kobe led teams. Especially when it came to competing in a real competitive conference.

When yall goat say he made Kobe proud yall need to take notes Kobe was the Best player to ever touch a basketball
@Encentivez
September 8, 2025 at 7:21 am
Bron passed Kobe up a LONG time ago buddy sorry to inform you 😂 they wanted to make Kobe “proud” cause he was the veteran on the team. He had 6 more years of experience compared to LeBron , Carmelo, and CP3 and had championship experience. Remember it’s 5v5 in basketball, if you’re missing 1 link then the entire team is doomed.
