LeBron, Kobe and LeBron again: These were the top five games of the 2010s | The Jump

Published

on

Rachel Nichols, Kevin Arnovitz and Paul Pierce count down the top five games of the 2010s in The Jump’s “best-of-the-decade” special:

(0:05) Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics in the 2012 Eastern Conference finals, in which LeBron James had 45 points and 15 rebounds
(0:56) Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2016 Western Conference finals, in which Klay Thompson dropped 41 points and basically ensured Kevin Durant would leave OKC for the Bay Area
(1:56) Kobe Bryant’s farewell game in 2016, where he scored 60 points in Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Lakers
(2:43) Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals, in which Ray Allen (and Chris Bosh) saved the Miami Heat vs. the San Antonio Spurs
(3:35) Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals, featuring the LeBron James chasedown block on Andre Iguodala, Kyrie Irving hitting his dagger, Kevin Love playing lockdown defense, and the Cleveland Cavaliers winning their first NBA championship vs. the Warriors

Game 6 klay is great. But Paul is right. That’s not a memorable moment for the entire 2010s.

I find it ironic how majority of these moments involve lebron. Game 6 against the Celtics might be the only legit one. No moments for the spurs championship run? Or the mavs ? Or the 73-9 warriors? 2010 lakers ? LESPN back at it again.

I hate Rachel Nichols. I wish they’d get literally anyone else to host the jump. The rating would be higher as well as the YouTube touches.

2016 Thunder vs Warriors regular season. Curry ties record for most threes in a game and hits a game winner from practically half court.

The Kawhi final shot game should be on this list or mentioned as an “honorable mention” — it’s a better, more improbable shot than the one Ray Allen took and that shot gave the Raptors and Kawhi the momentum they needed to bring the Raptors their first championship in franchise history.

That game 6 Klay had is one of the most memorable games I’ve ever seen. No disrespect to Dirk but Klay deserves to be on this list. Watching that game live, Klay was keeping the warriors in it when it looked like they were going to get blown out!
