The only reason MJ did not leave the Bulls because without Jerry Krause, he would not be surrounded by great players to solidify his winning attitude eventhough he hates the man so much.
On the other hand, we also have Kawhi’s case with the Spurs, he just wanted to leave the team and purposely did not play to pursue what he wants and that is leaving the team because he is surrounded with a rebuilding team at his prime and he don’t want that. But did the guy got booed or hated? Nah. Maybe I little but as not horrifying as what LBJ has gone through where both Kawhi and LBJ has the same almost the same reasons why they left.

John Johnson Yeah, but funny enough, I know a guy named Dirk Nowitzki who beat Lebron, D-Wade & Chris Bosh, all 3 of which were not only all stars, but top 10 players in the NBA at the time, and hall of famers. AND he had no other all stars on his team. Funny how with KD it’s “empty” stats, when the Cleveland Cavaliers that year had Bron, Kyrie and K-Love. He could’ve choked and people would’ve ridiculed him for it. At the end of the day, he got the job done and put up a masterful performance.

@John Johnson The amount of wins that a team has before/after they got a player is just semantics. At the end of the day, a superteam is a superteam! If Lebron, Harden, Kawhi & Steph all teamed up on the Phoenix Suns (if this were possible), would you say it’s not worse than KD’s move to GS simply because the Phoenix Suns didn’t win 73 games the year prior? It’s just so funny to me how narratives work. Lebron teamed up with D-Wade and Bosh, KD teamed up with Steph & Klay (and I guess Draymond if you want to count him). Is there really that big of a discrepancy of talent from a team that has Bron (who, according to some, is the goat), D-Wade & Chris Bosh in their prime vs. KD, Steph & Klay in their prime?

Crazy how well he moves for a guy that size, it’s like Steph Curry skills in Giannis body with Jordan or Kobe’s post game and midrange. The nerd reporters ruined the greatestteam of all time, they got some clicks, attention and tv interviews and they started to think it was about them, and everyone wants to be Stephen A or pretend like they are the reporter who isn’t scared to ask the tough questions, like they are doing some important work. Mark Medina, Logan Murdoch, Anthony slater, Tim Kawasaki, and there is another one who was really bad. Warriors were nice to media outside of Durantgetting annoyed last year but I would too trying to win title and media making stuff up to get clicks and after games they wouldn’t even ask about the actual game they just played in. Ask Durant about basketball he lights up and shares all day explains things but the nerds in media with their little smirks wanna keep asking about New York and talk about how it’s stephs team and can never be his. That’s why they call it a soap opera the casual fans want conflict drama hot takes and celebrity gossip, and the dorks that covered the warriors just fed into it.
There are some media out there that focus on the beautiful game. nobody played game at a higher level ever than 2017 warriors with Durant, it was an amazing season to watch. Someone should do recaps of every playoff series every year so people can go back and watch them in future
