The Clippers defeated the Cavaliers, 132-119 tonight in LA. Kawhi Leonard contributed a team-high 33 points to go with 7 rebounds 5 three pointers and 4 steals, with Ivica Zubac of the Clippers adding an additional 28 points (13-18 FG) in the game. Max Strus finished with a team-high 24 points along with 5 three pointers for the Cavaliers in the losing effort. The Clippers improve their record to 39-30 with the win, while the Cavaliers fall to 56-12 for the season. The Clippers’ next game is Friday, 3/21/2025, against the Grizzlies on the road (10:30 PM ET, NBA TV), while the Cavaliers continue their road trip on Wednesday, 3/19/2025, when they face the Kings (10:00 PM ET, NBCSCA/FanDuel Sports Network – Ohio).

    It feels like they have a completely different mentality from the past 5 years. A lot of grit and grind, everyone knows their role, the whole is more than the sum of its parts. I think that they have a ton of upside come playoff time, and *if* Kawhiis healthy, their season could end in June

    Zubac is ridiculously underrated, he scores with so much ease and if you don’t have the big to stop him, he’s gonna get every rebound. Not to mention the godly hook shot he mastered and his paint bullying.
