The only thing that ruins this stupid debate is that Jayson Tatum never said this, he isn’t stupid and he knows that if he gets traded to NOLA it will be the death of his career before it even got going. The only way to revive it would be to do what Davis is doing and ask for a trade in 5 years..probably to a team like..*drumroll* Boston! The whole LA and NY thing is also cute but the last time I checked, the biggest FA acquisitions for either team in the last 30 years has been Stoudemire, Tyson Chandler and a 34 year old LeBron. The biggest brand named player from there in 30 years has been Kobe. Shaq was huge wherever he went. During that time span players like CP3, LBJ in his prime, Kevin Garnett, Wade, Paul George, Jimmy Butler, Chris Bosh and every other star to hit FA has been rumored to want to go there but HAVE NOT. It’s time to stop with this nonsense. Kyrie is in Boston and there isn’t a single NBA player they talk about more than they do him except maybe LeBron. Lol

AD wanted out of NOLA THIS year, and THAT is the only reason why he diddnt list Boston as a potential trade destination. The Rose rule and the fact that he would only come here if Kyrie was on the roster. He will have that opportunity this summer, and it will likely become a reality.

He wants to go to a contender and Boston can get him and still keep Hayward, Morris and bring in the pieces needed to make an eastern conference dominator, that should show up in the finals every year for the foreseeable future. And they would likely be the favorites in said finals appearances. Kyrie and AD are not stupid they want to win, build a legacy, and Boston is the best place for them to do that hands down.

NY & LA are the 2 biggest markets in the country, there is nowhere that can compete with those. Boston is the 9th largest city in the country. It is cute Molly thinks NBA players care about championships; all they care about is the market.

Of course the Lakers, Boston, & NO will do a 3way trade with Kyri & AD falling in LA.

No one is saying you can’t be successful (e.g. Tom Brady) in Boston or some other smaller market, that’s not what the point is. The point is, if you’re trying to grow your brand, those places aren’t as good as LA or NY or Chi. Also, yes it’s more important to win championships. But why wouldn’t anyone want to win championships in one of the bigger markets if they can do both??? Molly, it’s not your job to have an opinion on this show, so just do your job.
