Published

on

Rachel Nichols, Michael Wilbon, Scottie Pippen and Tracy McGrady go live from the 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend, reacting to Jayson Tatum’s 39-point game in LA Clippers vs. Boston Celtics, and discussing whether he is an elite player or part of a committee that also includes Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward and Marcus Smart. They then (2:33) preview Kevin Garnett becoming a Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame nominee alongside Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan and Chris Bosh.

Best thing for the Celtics will be if Kemba is wiling to take a step back and be more of a facilitator. Average 18ppg & 8 assists instead of 21.8 ppg & 5 assists. And when Heyward & Brown have the hot hand get them the ball more. Heyward & Brown were both on fire vs Houston & they didn’t get the ball enough especially late in that game. Kemba has to pass when hes having an off game & others are shooting well.

Sixers and Lakers passed on him. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Then again, several teams including my Clips passed on Michael Porter Jr. Our only mistake in The Logo era is drafting Jerome Robinson. We got rid of him already.

Tatum can be a prime Tracy McGrady but better defender. Or Paul George but higher FG%. Paul George was arguably top 5 player last year before he was playing hurt late in the year.

My coldest take was saying that Kuzma is as good as Tatum

Such extreme use of the word dominating. There are only like a couple of players dominating.

I can see Lebron being there to represent Kobe, as he is one of the other Lakers legends that was close to him and recent. And Lebron is still in the NBA playing, so it would be an honor for the King to speak for Kobe.
