   Honestly i always thought MVP was awarded to the player with the biggest influence for his team’s success. Shai not being seen as mvp is probably due to how talented OKC’s young core has become; so it is harder to measure how valuable he is compared to his teammates. As for luka, mavs did had a brief period of being a play-in team. If the standing was more consistent throughout the regular season then he probably would have more votes. Jokic most likely won due to how unimproved his team was but still managed to keep them afloat within the top 3 for so long.

    Shaq is right. The MVP voting process is skewed is wrong. I agree with the best player on the best team. Stats is something many players can be good at, the impact of the best player on the best team is just more.

    I like how now one ever talks about the fact that jokic has never played with another all star. Not once in his career has someone on his team been named to an all star team or all nba team. And his team still is constantly one of the best.

    Paul Pierce makes a great point. They should have announced the MVP right after the regular season, and I guarantee you nobody would have cried about Jokic winning.

    Shaq 100% wrong people get to vote how they want to vote. Like the young man said best player on the best team you could argue OKC better. They ended up number one so now when it’s that close biggest skill set. Think that’s joker
