James Harden joins Allen Iverson (3x) as the only players in 76ers franchise history to score 40+ points in multiple games of a Playoff series.

Before James Harden, Kevin Durant in the 2012 semifinals for OKC vs Lakers was the last player to have two different go ahead game-winning shots with under 20 seconds remaining in a single playoff series:
Durant made game-winning field goals in Game 2 (18.6 secs left) and Game 4 (13.7 secs left)

Led by James Harden’s 42 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists, including the go-ahead three with 19.0 seconds remaining in overtime, the No. 3 seed Philadelphia 76ers defeated the No. 2 seed Boston Celtics in Game 4, 116-115. Joel Embiid added 34 points and 13 rebounds for the 76ers in the victory, while Jayson Tatum tallied 24 points, 6 assists, 4 blocks and a career-high 18 rebounds for the Celtics. This best-of-seven series is now tied, 2-2, with Game 5 taking place on Tuesday, May 9 (7:30 p.m. ET, TNT).

With his 47th career 30+ point Playoff game tonight, James Harden has passed Dirk Nowitzki for the 12th most such games in NBA history.

Yo chill harden! 42 point almost triple double, clutch bucket after bucket. After that masterpiece in game 1. And a class act inviting that shooting victim. I don’t wanna hear anyone (including myself) badmouth this man ever again!

Sixers win if Harden scores 40 + points and losses if less than 20 so the focal point of offense of the Sixers must come from Harden if they want to advance in the Conference Finals and NBA finals

tired but let me say this again, harden made embiid looks like an mvp in the regular season, so he is the real mvp. the second round prove me right again and again.
game 1: harden 40+ and game winner, mvp didnt play 76ers W
game 2: harden and mvp both didn’t play 76ers L
game 3: harden didn’t play and mvp played, 76ers L
game 4: harden and mvp both played, harden 40+ and game winner, 76ers W

just think about it, without harden, the MVP would be out 0-4 now and become a meme forever

Feast or famine. James really delivered tonight. As a Sixers fan, I don’t need James from Game 1 and 4 every night. We just can’t have Game 2 or 3 James. Bigtime win. They need to steal game 5 and win in 6. 7 games might be too big a mountain to climb. That said, the Sixers have been overcoming the odds all season. Definitely the most locked in Embiid-era Sixers squad I’ve seen.
