No disrespect tho I love Cade, but Brunson’s built for these moments

@@bluauraxI’m a pistons fan I was telling people to slow down until Cade proves it but Cade still played very well for his first playoff and in a few years he will surpass JB. Brunson is too small to be trying to Carry New York on his back every year.

Look, let’s be real: The Pistons might not have the shiny record or the flashy wins right now, but they’re a lot closer to the future than the Knicks are. While New York’s over here flexing about barely beating a team with 14 wins last season, the Pistons are building something solid, with young talent that’s actually growing. Guys like Ausar Thompson, Jaden Ivey, and Jalen Duren are just getting started, and their upside is much higher than what the Knicks have going on.

Brunson’s cool and all, but when your biggest star is a guy who needs every single call and all the drama to get a win against the 6-seed Pistons, you’re not really making strides to contend long-term. And don’t even get me started on the refs — the Knicks needed that extra help to get past a rebuilding team, while the Pistons are fighting with raw talent, learning how to win and build chemistry.

The Knicks are stuck in the middle, not quite a contender, but also not rebuilding. Meanwhile, the Pistons are actively building for a championship future, with youth, energy, and potential. They’re gonna be the team people talk about in a couple years. The Knicks are just… well, still living off their history, while the Pistons are actually putting in the work to get better every season.

Great comment! That’s exactly what I thought while watching Thompson skate off into the sunset into a Brunson game winning 3!

    • @Jared_TheGoat_Goff

      May 1, 2025 at 11:15 pm

@ Skate off into the sunset? More like getting spun around in circles while Brunson’s busy flopping like it’s an audition. That game-winning 3 didn’t change the fact that the Knicks needed the refs to bail them out against a rebuilding team. Thompson might’ve got crossed, but the Pistons are still coming up. Brunson can hit all the game-winners he wants — it doesn’t change the fact that the Knicks are stuck in a mediocre middle while the Pistons are building something much bigger for the future.

Man it’s just good to know we have a superstar and potential playoff team for years to come. We fumbled 2 games this series and it was honestly eerily similar to Ant Edwards and the Wolves beating themselves a few years back against Memphis. Cade and the Pistons will learn from this and get better going forward. Remember we weren’t supposed to be this good!!! It’s about time!

It really baffles me how anybody that CLAIMS to respect true competitors that give no less than their all, especially in these types of games, can hate on, or not like a guy like Jalen Brunson. You can talk about foul merchant and all that, but that little guy is a straight up DOG and will always give his team a chance.
