I’ve followed recruiting for close to 30 years. High school basketball is experiencing a severe drought in talent. It’s very concerning. I’m assuming that the scouts are missing certain players similar to the Ja Morant or Steph Curry situations because this can’t be everybody!
The difference between #1 Derrick Lively and #2 George and #3 Amari Bailey might as well be ten spots. And the 2023 class might be the worst class that I’ve ever seen. Wagner, Dillingham, and Evans wouldn’t be ranked in the top 10 in most previous classes

I’ve been saying this for awhile, the coaching at Sierra Canyon is very poor. It never seems like they get the best out of their players & it doesn’t seem like they start playing hard til their backs are up against the wall. Too often they’re either in close games or lose to teams far less talented to them. They need a new coach

I’m guessing the whole game plan for bronny was to focus more on the defensive end, instead of getting buckets(which seems to be most people’s end all be all). Bronny is quite possibly the best perimeter defender on the court. The coach probably knows this and is why he probably told bronny to don’t worry about scoring. Matchups and team tendencies matter when versing higher comp, also amongst other things as well. My fustration was not putting bronny back end until it was too late. You need to have a momentum stopper. Someone who can make it harder for the oppposing offense to continue to be consistent(which harvard was clearly doing). The coach def. needs to look at the monstrosity that he created defensively for a few possessions. Having a smaller player matched up with a significantly taller player, will end the way it ended. There is so much to point out in this game coaching wise, also player wise.
