Raptors clinched a playoff berth and have the third best record in the NBA despite having the third most games lost due to injuries and… Oh, more discussions over 76ers and their drama and being “contenders”. Lebron, Zion, 76ers… Oh my!

Paulafan5 Fair point, but the Raptors have no identifiable star in terms of marketability and are in Canada. Of course Siakam is great, but his appeal is only regional. Nick Nurse isn’t fostering a culture of drama either, and drama and storylines are what sell.

Let’s not act like they are as likely to make it work than not, it’s like 10% versus 90% and 10% may be too kind

I think the Philadelphia 76ers will get knocked out of the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Right now, the 76ers are matched up with the Miami Heat and I’m going to give the edge to Jimmy Butler’s crew. The Heat just have more heart and are a more disciplined team. Plus, Miami has home court and Philly can’t win on the road.

No. Embiid cannot carry Ben Simmons lack of shooting.

I love embiid, def better than horford no question. But the passing ability of horford has been one improvement. if shake actually plays pg instead of jus looking for his own shot it should be ok. Otherwise, they’re jus gonna scrap all plays n go back to feeding Embiid in the paint n having no other plan wen they triple team him

I think Embiid needs to remember what city he is playing in and pull that Philly mindset out! ASAP

I think simmons does to although Im the biggest fan of him i admit he needs to shoot because he is causing embiid to be on perimete

They had a driver. Then they let him go to Miami. IMO that was the biggest L of the off season

We just need ben Simmons to start shooting the basketball

They signed Horford to a dumba$$ contract instead of going after a scorer like Bradley Beal. Hopefully Giannis & Embiid do have a great bond & want to be teammates in Philly. And of course Brett Brown is not a good coach. It took him this long to figure out Shake is better than Neto & imho with more playing time would’ve been a better starter than JRich this season. JRich never even attempts a mid-range out the pick&roll. I wonder if they even watch film.

Sixers Zone Bradley Beal wasn’t a free agent lol but I would of rather had a Marcus Morris and jj for that money

Aight… Imma be the one to say it. It’s not Embiid and Simmons the problem, it’s Horford and Harris.
They are getting paid WAY too much and are playing like role players. Swap Harris with Butler and Horford with a player like Convington and you got yourself a serious contender!
Still, there is so much talent and they are SO GOOD defensively, that it might even work this year.

Oh ye, and they gotta stay healthy… fingers crossed, I actually like this team.

BTW, last year they were 1 SHOT away from winning the title!

Castles made of sand wash to the sea. Teams built around a huge child emotionally and intellectually are screwed. Ego and nastiness are not winning traits.

Embiid is as much of a driver as KAT and that ain’t saying much.

Let’s be honest, the 76ers have blown out every single top 8 team in both conferences. On any given day they can defeat anyone, 6th seed, 1st seed, doesnt matter. The point is simmons MUST be part of the playoffs push otherwise we won’t win. And even if simmons is around, to beat a team like the lakers or clippers, well for me there is too much playoff experience too much veteran experience, i just cant see anyone defeating either of these two teams. But if we get back simmons for the playoffs, anything can happen.

PHI lost to TOR on a last second Game 7 shot at the hands of the eventual Finals MVP…the media has been over reaching all year…them losing Butler was a big blow but they still have the best future in the east unless Giannis resigns with MIL
