I wish they had the same energy during the primaries we had the chance to have a candidate people are excited about and they everyone just let obama and biden steal the election .

Before the bubble only 20% of NBA players were registered to vote.

I’m not sure if this is relevant but what percentage of NBA players were white?

    • World Tree202

      September 23, 2020 at 2:46 pm

My guess is a lot of their players weren’t even 18 during 2016 elections. And the ones who were probably didn’t like any of the candidates available so chose not to register. Now that politics are more prevalent than ever with growing media etc they probably want to now and understand how important it is. Which is also crazy considering the electoral college decided who’s president not regular citizens. And it’s not mandatory that they vote for who their state wants as president.

Lebrons son smoking pot just shows what is wrong with using Lebron as the face of social activism. His son just showed how much of a hypocrite he is. At 16 you’re filming yourself smoking knowing your dad is known and respected globally. Black men have major disrespect for black women but you want other races to respect you. Look at how NBA fans are so rude to WNBA players. Eveb after they claim to love Kobe who was doing something right for women in basketball. Most ethnic groups treat their women like gold but black men are the ones showing them scorn. Look at Tristan raising the kid from a white woman differently to the kid he has with a black woman. The NBA and black men need to look in the mirror , start fixing your ” homes” and other races will follow. Who says black woman have ugly hair or are too dark skinned? It’s not white man. Who makes poorly written music or movies staring black women as lazy , promiscuous bad people…it’s not the white artists/ producers. FIX YOUR HOUSE FIRST THAT’S HOW YOU FIX YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

I agree with most of what you said. LeBron noticed what happened with Bronny and frankly he isn’t surprised because with his popularity on High School and what usually happens, he say it coming but couldn’t stop it because he is far apart from his home

what we need to do is stop letting politicians take advantage of the “black vote,” “hispanic vote,” etc. longer they see us as just communities (which is stupid) the worse it gets

remember when people said stick to sports stories…. politics is depressing no matter which way you slice it…. uplifting sports stories are inspiring and NBACARE ads or any pro team outreach becomes white noise that’s what this always feels like
